Jumbo Stick Numbers

Some children in room one have been working with the Jumbo Stick Numbers this week. We are learning to identify and order numbers to 10. 

We were given the coloured sticks all mixed up. We had to sort the numbers into the right order with our buddy. 

Here are Megan and Holly with their sorted sticks. Great job girls!

Nathan and Si-En got their numbers in the right order too. You worked very well together. :-)

Next time we are learning to order numbers to 10 when some are missing. 

Listening Bodies

Room 1 has been learning how to be good listeners. We are learning to

- look at the person talking

- Use our ears to listen 

- not make noise

- sit still

This is what a good listener looks like. 

We also went for a listening walk with Miss Borys.
 "We heard 2 planes and 2 helicopters," said Kale.
"We heard cars and trees making wind noise," said Madison.
